Life lesson #???

A colleague(D) was sharing a story about her lost dog recently. She recently moved to a new neighbourhood and her dog ran out of the house on the first day she moved. Posters are posted everywhere. 3 days later...a little girl called and claimed that recently, she's playing with her cousins' dog that looked like the missing dog. To D's horror, it turned out to be her new next door neighbours who technically stole(kept) the dog. D didn't make a big deal out of it due to the fact that she is going to see the neighbours all the time.

Not giving/Giving the 'thiefs' SOME benefit of the doubt...considering that the father(neighbour)'s profession is a doctor...
1. he should be able to afford to buy a dog of his OWN...If you can steal a dog who is so dear to someone else...you are capable of other criminal tendencies.

2. The merciful view: the kids probably reli loved the dog that as a parent...you are capable of doing the wrong thing for your children thinking you could get away with it (not very smart). Sadly, it belonged to your next door neighbour...

D gave the reward to the little girl who dubbed her relatives in. Life is so fair.

Life lessons #???: What is not urs....don't keep it. DO NOT take advantage of others. It's called stealing. Your crime will be revealed somehow.

P/S: Not arguing this over object of the subject matter: A DOG, so it's ok to steal or 'its not a big deal'...but stealing..Some people wud think who am i to judge if this is right or wrong...let me stress the point that...there are only 2 obvious instinct/conscience/choices...to steal(wrong) and to return(right) the dog. The merciful view: you get to keep the dog if the posters are not around, that's fair.

A "friend" indeed is a friend in need

Fact of life:

A friend in need is a friend indeed. There are so few but i'm grateful for them.

A "friend" indeed is a friend in need. There are many out there.

Just one of the few lessons i've learnt so far and i just don't understand why i'm learning this far too many times. I don't have to be 'nice' and 'pleasant' at all times. It's not my loss that i don't waste my time on non precious events or people who only picked you because they have nothing to do and bored. Shame on you. Now, i feel free!

:p

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

:) Day 2

To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever:
The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever:
The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Psalms 136: 7-9
